Allah is surely the best planner of all!!!

August 28th, 2008

It was a cold Wednesday morning. I was getting ready for my Tajweed class. Before that I had to first take my daughter to the kindergarten, then drop my son at the baby sitter and then go the masjid. Just like any other Wednesday.

Alahmdullilah, I was not running late. I left my daughter in the kindergarten and hurried up to put my son in the car. I buckled him up and happily ran to open the front door. UPS! The door was locked. I tried the other door, it was locked too. I looked at my son. He was holding the keys in his hand. Oh, boy! I was stuck. Yaa, Rabi, what will I do now? My 2-year old son is locked in the car, my cell phone is in the car as well, and I don’t have my husband’s phone memorized…. I was clueless, had no idea what to do.

To make the story short, after freezing for hour and a half, car service came and they unlocked my car. The thing is that I never made to the tajweed class that day. And then after everything was over, it hit me. It hit me so hard. We think we are so much in control of our lives, we think we have everything planned out, and we know how is it going to be, but in reality we are so powerless, we are so weak. That morning I was certain that I would come to the tajweed class on time, and look what happened. Allah had made His plan for me, He s.w.t. had planned my day, He, the best planner of all.

Similarly, if somebody had told me a few months ago that I would go to Canada in the seventh month of my pregnancy, get separated from my children for three weeks, would spend a huge amount of money at the time when our financial situation was not great, and would do all of that to attend a Life Coaching Seminar, I would tell him: “DUDE, you are crazy, you don’t know me.” Knowing the circumstances, I would have hardly agreed to do this, even if I wanted to be a life coach, but on the top of everything else I never even wanted to be a life coach. That was out of question.

And, again subhanaAllah Allah had His own plans. At the end, I decided to go to Canada, to leave the kids, to spend the money, with an additional difficulty-a big tummy, swollen feet and extra 20 kilos. And this was not all, I changed my mind in the meantime. Today I want to be not only a Life Coach, but an outstanding Life Coach, in order to be able to help my dear sisters all over the planted in every aspect of their lives.

At this moment, I am so thankful to Allah s.w.t. that He had changed my plans. I am so grateful to Him that He chose me to be a part of that special event that happened on the other side of Atlantic. Alhamdullilah.

Unfortunately, we are not always grateful to Allah s.w.t. when He changes our plans, although we should. We think that we know what is good for us, but we don’t.

Allah s.w.t. says:

“It may be that you hate something when it is good for you and it may
be that you love something when it is bad for you. Allah knows and you
do not know” (Surat al-Baqara, 216).

He s.w.t. knows what is best for us and we definitely don’t, although it may seem to us sometimes as we do. So next time, Allah s.w.t. changes your plans, either for good or bad, don’t get sad. Be happy! Be thankful because He s.w.t. knows and we don’t.

He s.w.t. is surely the best planner of all!!!
